The latest addition to the Abu Dhabi luxury hotel scene is the Dahlia Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel. With an emphasis on providing light-filled spaces to celebrate the purifying qualities of water, this luxury spa consists of eight treatment suites, a hamam, steam room, heated pool, a fully equipped fitness center and separate therapeutic relaxation areas for both men and women. Guests can also benefit from a hair, beauty and nail salon for women, and an onsite gentleman’s barbershop.

The Sanya EDITION opens December 2016

The internationally acclaimed American hotelier Ian Schrager is expanding his global hotel footprint with The Sanya EDITION, his first hotel in China. Located on Hainan Island just off the coast of Southern China, the Sanya property has been co-developed in partnership with Marriott International, which conceived the EDITION brand together with Schrager. The resort includes 512 guestrooms, 46 suites, and 17 exclusive hotel villas nestled into a terraced hillside, each one with a private pool and outdoor space. The Sanya EDITION is a hotel concept aimed at targeting sophisticated travellers who appreciate design-led luxury, balanced with attentive service.

The St. Regis Vommuli Resort Maldives is now open

Located on Dhaalu Atoll Vommuli spanning over 20 acres, the St. Regis opened their first luxury property in the Maldives this month. Comprised of 77 private villas, including lagoon villas shaped to resemble mantra rays, it’s also the home of the Astor Estate. At 1,540 square metres and featuring a 92 metre private pool, spa room, private gym and mini-theatre, it’s one of the largest villas in the Maldives. This fantastic resort has six dining venues, 24-hour butler service, as well as a nature discovery and dive centre, and is the ultimate in sophisticated chic.

Dukes Dubai arrives at The Palm in December 2016

The quintessentially British luxury hotel brand Dukes will showcase its 5-star glamour at the Palm Jumeirah next month, when it opens it’s first international property in Dubai. Bringing the Dukes brand to the UAE for the first time, the hotel will offer both corporate travellers and holidaymakers an oasis of luxury and English charm, inspired by its famous London counterpart. Occupying 15 floors, Dukes Dubai will consist of 279 guestrooms – including 64 luxury suites, while 20 rooms will occupy the women-only Duchess floor. Rounding up the 506 total room count will be 227 fully furnished hotel apartments. Along with the hotel’s private beach, the hotel will offer an outdoor infinity pool with views over the gulf, a dedicated tea lounge and two international restaurants under the watchful eye of award-winning executive head chef Martin Cahill.

Soneva Jani, sister resort to Soneva Fushi is now open

A speedboat ride away from its sister property – the much lauded Soneva Fushi, guests now have the choice of staying at not one but two Maldivian island escapes operating under Soneva’s responsible luxury brand.
